SavedBell ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy details our data collection, storage, and processing practices. SavedBell is designed as a secure, local notification logging utility and status saver companion.

                Local Privacy Guarantee: SavedBell operates 100% locally on your device. We do not host, capture, transmit, or share your messages, notification logs, or media files with any remote/external servers.
            

1. Information Access & Permissions

To provide its core features, SavedBell requires specific system permissions on your Android device:

Notification Listener Access: This permission allows SavedBell to read incoming notifications from selected applications (such as WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business). We read notification text, sender name, and timestamp solely to log them locally so you can view deleted or missed messages.
Storage/Media Access: This permission is required to read and scan the WhatsApp status directories on your device. This allows SavedBell to display status images and videos and save them to your local library.

2. Data Storage & Security

On-Device SQLite Database: All message logs, chat histories, notification records, and user preferences are saved locally inside an encrypted SQLite database on your device.
Local File Cache: Sender profile pictures and downloaded statuses are stored in your device's internal app files directory.
Zero Data Transmission: No notification text, chat metadata, or files are sent to our servers. We do not own, operate, or maintain any cloud databases for user notification data.

3. Artificial Intelligence Features (Google Gemini Integration)

SavedBell includes optional smart features powered by Google Generative AI (Gemini SDK):

On-Demand Processing: Features such as AI Reply Coach, Summarization, and Daily Recap process text logs to generate summaries or replies on-demand.
Data Usage: This processing is secured via Google Gemini SDK. Data processed by the generative models is not used to train models or retained permanently.

4. User Rights & Data Control

You have absolute control over all data captured by the application:

Manual Deletion: You can delete individual notifications, clear entire chat threads, or wipe the local database from the settings.
Auto-Delete Scheduler: You can configure automated log-purging thresholds (e.g. 7 days, 30 days) to prune local history.
Complete Erasure: Uninstalling the application immediately deletes all local SQLite database records and cached profile pictures from the device.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy page.
